"harvesting the benefit of a rural experience"

rebuilding lives, releasing potential, restoring communities

Care Farming for Service Users

The basic activity of caring for plants and animals that are dependant on the worker for their well being is proven to be therapeutic and in itself can help break the dependencies that build up for those locked into a care system through circumstance or physical or mental conditions, as well as building a sense of, and active participation in, community life.

Care Farming for Commissioners

The farming environment and normal farming activities provide an innovative pathway that allows people the chance to grow from the foundations of confidence building and daily structure through skills development and where possible, into or back into paid employment. The pace of progress along this pathway is different for different people.

Care Farming for Farmers

The quality and ethos of care farms is of the upmost importance. All of the Care Farming West Midlands care farms are therefore social enterprises and will be guided through the Care Farming West Midlands accreditation checklist including CEVAS and other relevant training towards full Care Farming West Midlands Accredited Membership.
